Dear LANDLORD,

Re: Demand for Refund of Security Deposit in relation to PROPERTY

We are your tenant in respect of the above property. 

By a tenancy agreement dated AGREEMENT_DATE, I have occupied the above property for a term of YEARS years. I placed with you a security deposit in the amount of CURRENCYDEPOSIT("Security Deposit").

On TERMINATION_DATE, the tenancy agreement was terminated and I have vacated the Premises and handed over the keys to you. I have paid my rent in full and gave you my new address.

As of today, I have not received the Security Deposit nor any accounting from you for that money. If I do not receive the Security Deposit by DEMAND_DATE, I will take this matter to the court. And if I am compelled to do this, I will not only take action against you for my CURRENCYDEPOSIT deposit, plus additional punitive damages allowed under JURISDICTION_STATE law.
